Weaning SOS – with Lucy Thomas from Organix

Monday, May 4, 2020 2:30 PM

As a feeding consultant, I have plethora of experience working for 15 years with families whose children have become anxious eaters or incredibly selective about the food they will or won’t eat; due to pre-existing health conditions including severe reflux, allergies and intolerances, NG tube and Peg feeding, as well as coeliac disease.

As a Mum of two girls who have their fair share of intolerances, allergies and reflux fussiness as babies, I can wholeheartedly empathise with the challenges and anxieties that can arise for you as a parent or carer trying to cater for your baby’s dietary requirements and nutritional needs.

Today we will be tackling topics such as reflux, allergies, gluten free and dairy free diets and also discussing vegan or vegetarian weaning.

Fussy Eaters – with Lucy Thomas

Thursday, May 7, 2020 8:00 PM

Some babies experience difficulty during the weaning process, this can be caused by many different factors; teething, illness, tiredness, developmental leap/ a new skill and even their mood. It’s easy to assume that any difficulties are because your baby is going to become a fussy eater, which isn’t always the case.

Weaning your baby can be quite an anxious process for some parents, particularly if your little one begins to show aversive behaviours towards solids. Even with all my experience as a feeding consultant I wasn’t immune to the perils of picky eating with my two as babies, who at times it seemed would only eat Organix Rice Cakes!

In this age of growing technology and social media we have recipes literally at our finger tips however what we also need is help to encourage our babies to explore and enjoy the nutritious delights we’ve prepared! Today I’ll be offering you my experience and expertise as brand ambassador for Organix to help you over the hurdles of fussy eating.
